HEPA (Human Ecology Practical Area) Farmer Field School (FFS) is a pioneering training dedicated to strengthen indigenous youth. HEPA FFS lies at the heart of the 6 inter-thematic networks action of Mekong Community Network Action for Ecological Trading (MECO-ECOTRA).
Overuse of resources and the lack of a caring attitude towards Human-Nature relationships in many sensitive watershed ecosystems have been the major causes leading to land desertification problems, gradual erosion of social traditions, and the losses of ecological biodiversity.
The efforts of Vieng Phet in the process of building and development of eco-farm in Myanmar
01/07/2014
Following the activities which Vieng Phet has done in Myanmar in the Internship Program in 2013 – 2014, we can see his efforts and passion without tiring to build and develop eco-farm. He has both learned new knowledge of eco-farming from Myanmar and imparted his lessons learned in FFS-HEPA to farmers there.
During their trip to Myanmar, Mrs. Tu Kien and Professor Chayan had time to visit the vegetable garden model which Vieng Phet designed toward eco-farming. It was beautiful and reflected the sharp lessons and inherited the patterns of nature.
Please share some pictures of the activities presented by Vieng Phet in Myanmar
